Halikko - Leg 2 (2017-10-21)

Halikko leg 2
(Finlands 25manna)

A bit worried how I would feel after feeling ill and weak all week but also Ive not been happy with my orienteering last few weeks, so trying to motivate myself to go for it and focus but not too much in case I felt bad.

Turned up I didnt feel too bad, not 100% but not bad either. found the terrain hard work even though it wasnt a physical forest.

Unfortunately this was the least technical halikko Ive ever been to, a bit disappointing, but I ran pretty well.
Lost a little time to no1 not using my compass enough (15s) and didnt see the left around the marsh option, just thought "this is a simple control, compass and go" haha
and the map really strange in the open area just before no9 then was a bit confused in the circle but actually quite an easy control so worked it out quick (15-20s).
So Cant really gumble about my orienteering

It was cool to see Dog Tailor a few time out in the forest. It was a bit of a surprise to be honest, I had a couple of longer gaffles (not much to be fair) but then id not see her to think I got away but then spot her further up a head and think "bloody hell, hows she do that" haha
but that did make it a lot more fun and a reason to keep me pushing on
